Ingredients
150 gm VertiVegies Tuscan Kale
1 tbs Melted coconut oil
1 tps Turmeric powder
1/4 tps Salt
Recipe
Preheat the oven to 350C.
Cut Kale into chip sized pieces and place them in a large bowl. Drizzle melted coconut oil over the Kale and toss (using your hands is best!) until the leaves are completely covered with coconut oil. Sprinkle the turmeric powder into the bowl and mix well again, ensuring the powder is evenly coating the surface of the Kale. Line a baking tray with baking paper and line the oiled Kale leaves evenly, ensuring that the leaves do not overlap with each other. Place them in the oven and cook for 10 minutes
Remove from oven and sprinkle salt to flavor. Consume immediately or store in an air tight container as prolonged exposure to air will make them soft.
Pro Tip
Remove the center stems from the leaves, this will prevent the Kale chips from curling in on themselves. Apart from eating as a snack, crush the chips and crumble them on top of your kids's favorite foods to give your little ones a helpful natural nutrient boost!
